Toni Jodar speaks Modern Dance

Toni Jodar explains the history of dance through the medium of dance itself using an educational performance. Audiences will be shown the evolution of the art form from classical through to contemporary as Jodar explains the different genres and forms that the body uses to express itself in movement. It shows the evolution of classic to contemporary, referring to the various genres found to express the body in motion.

He will also reveal the influence and legacy of each generation on the artists that have followed. In America: Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, José Limón, Merce Cunningham and the contact-release technique. In Europe: from Mary Wigman to Pina Bausch.
